Valley City (CCHD) – Chelsea Modlin, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Lead at South Central Human Service Center\u2019s Outreach Clinic, was recognized this week by City-County Health District (CCHD) for her leadership, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to accessible behavioral health care in Barnes County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modlin has led South Central\u2019s satellite clinic since it opened in 2018, playing a central role in building local trust and laying the groundwork for what has become a vital resource in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChelsea\u2019s impact isn\u2019t about visibility; it\u2019s about depth,\u201d said Katie Beyer, Administrator for CCHD. \u201cShe makes systems work better, teams stronger, and services more human. Her leadership is steady, generous, and absolutely essential to this community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modlin is an active member of the Barnes County Behavioral Health Coalition and a trusted collaborator. Her work has consistently reflected a commitment to both individual well-being and systems change, making her a critical part of the region\u2019s behavioral health infrastructure. Beyond her role at the clinic, Chelsea is a wife, mom, and a deeply connected friend. The strength of those personal commitments is part of what makes her such an asset to the broader community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chelsea has influenced both the strength and the stability of local behavioral health services. This has been most recently demonstrated in the long-anticipated expansion project on the second floor of the public health building. As demand for services has grown steadily in recent years, the need for more space and more providers has been a key priority. The expanded clinic helps meet that demand by making it easier for community members to get timely, consistent care close to home. The health district will welcome the public to view and celebrate the completed project this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
