Jamestown (CSI) – At approximately 8:55 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, the Jamestown Fire Department, led by Fire Captain Sheldon Mohr, responded to a fire at the University of Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fire began in the old building currently being torn down near the campus kitchen area. Crews worked for five hours to bring the blaze under control. A total of 19 firefighters and five vehicles were dispatched to the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two firefighters sustained minor injuries while battling the fire. Additionally, there was minor water damage reported to the nearby Badal Nufus building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
