\"cityhallJinside\"<\/a>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown City Council\u2019s, Finance & Legal Committee, Building, Planning & Zoning Committee, and Civic Center & Promotion Committees met Tuesday evening at City Hall.\u00a0 All members were present.<\/p>\n

With Finance & Legal Committee business:<\/p>\n

The committee\u00a0recommended for approval, \u00a0the request from Buffalo City Diesel for Economic Development Funds, to provide for up to $200,000 in P.A.C.E (primary sector business) interest buy down funding with the City Share to be $160,000 and paid from the City Sales Tax Fund.<\/p>\n

The committee recommends approving the annual\u00a0request from Buffalo City Tourism Foundation for $75,000 in Economic Development Funds to provide for tourism grant funding, with the City Share to be $60,000, and paid from the City Sales Tax Fund.<\/p>\n

The committee recommended approval of \u00a0the request from Municipal Judge Tim Ottmar that witness fees paid for testimony in Municipal Court be increased from $15 to $25.00, consistent with District Court Fees.<\/p>\n

The committee recommends approval of \u00a0the request from the ND National Guard for an amendment to the lease agreement with the City to increase the leased area for the maintenance facilities from approximately 3.67 acres to 4.36 acres.<\/p>\n

Informational, Monthly departmental reports were presented.<\/p>\n

The committee recommended\u00a0to place on the November 4, 2013 City Council\u00a0meeting, without recommendation \u00a0the proposed agreement from Interstate Engineering, Inc., for engineering services for Water System Improvements for Great River Energy.<\/p>\n

With Building, Planning & Zoning Committee business:<\/p>\n

The committee\u00a0approved for recommendation\u00a0the findings of staff, and consider the plat of Lindberg Addition, a replat of Lots 11,12 & 32 and portions of Lots 7-10 and 33, Block 9, Kelly & Fuller\u2019s Second Addition, from low density residential to commercial.\u00a0 It relates to the former Job Service building, on 2nd Street Southwest.<\/p>\n

The \u00a0First Reading of an Ordinance to amend and re-enact sections 9-12, 9-13, and 23-38, of the city code pertaining to the building and plumbing code, will be at the November City Council meeting.\u00a0 Amendments to the existing code.<\/p>\n

Informational: It was noted that a Public Hearing and Second Reading of an ordinance concerning the request to change the zoning of Block 2 of the proposed Lindberg Addition, a replat of Lots 11, 12 & 32 and portions of Lots 7-10 and 33, Block 9, Kelley & Fuller\u2019s 2nd <\/span>Addition, from zoning from R-3 (General Multiple Dwelling District) to C-1 (Local Commercial District) is scheduled for the November 4, 2013, City Council meeting.<\/p>\n

It was also pointed out that a Public Hearing and Second Reading of an ordinance concerning the request to change the zoning of Block 1 of the proposed Lindberg Addition, a replat of Lots 1-6 and 34-44 and portions of Lots 7-10 and 33, Block 9, Kelley & Fuller\u2019s 2nd Addition, from R-3 (General Multiple Dwelling District) to R-4 (Planned Residence District) is scheduled for the November 4, 2013, City Council meeting.<\/p>\n

(Informational) A Public Hearing and Second Reading of an ordinance concerning the request to change the zoning of the West Half of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, the West Half of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter, the West 60 feet of the East Half of the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and the West 60 feet of the East Half of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 140, Range 64, Stutsman County, North Dakota from A-1 (Agricultural District) and P-O-C (Public, Open Development and Conservation District) to R-1 (One Family Residential District) is scheduled for the November 4, 2013, City Council meeting.<\/p>\n

A Public Hearing and action on the request from Pipestem Properties, LLC, to vacate the Frontage Road Area adjacent to Lot 14, Block 4, Marjo 1st <\/span>Addition, Bloom Township, within the NE \u00bc of Section 30-140-63, to the City of Jamestown, Stutsman County, ND, is scheduled for the November 4, 2013, City Council meeting.<\/p>\n

A Public Hearing and action on the request from Braun & Weatherly to vacate the roadway adjacent to Lot 4, Block 1, and South Half of Lot 1, Block 2, Replat of Joos First Subdivision, a portion of NE\u00bc of SE\u00bc and SE\u00bc of NE\u00bc Section 13-140-64, Midway Township, Stutsman County, ND, is scheduled for the November 4, 2013, City Council meeting.<\/p>\n

Action on the request from Tripp & Munson to vacate the roadway adjacent to Lot 4, Block 2, and Lot 1, Block 3, Replat of Joos First Subdivision, a portion of NE\u00bc of SE\u00bc and SE\u00bc of NE\u00bc Section 13-140-64, Midway Township, Stutsman County, ND, is scheduled for the November 4, 2013, City Council meeting.<\/p>\n
