News \u00a0Oct 23, 2013) &#8211; \u00a0Oregon-based Reser&#8217;s Fine Foods is recalling about 22,800 pounds of potentially bacteria-tainted chicken, ham and beef products and refrigerated ready-to-eat salads made at a Topeka, Kan., plant.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The company and the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Tuesday the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The products were shipped to retailers and distributors in 27 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, <strong>Minnesota,<\/strong> Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, <strong>North Dakota<\/strong>, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, <strong>Wisconsin<\/strong> and Wyoming.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service listed various &#8220;sell by&#8221; dates for the recalled products.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 There have been no reports of illness. Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, an uncommon and potentially fatal disease.
