(AP) &#8211; A North Dakota legislative committee has chosen a Bismarck company to help develop a long-range legislative plan for the oil industry.<\/p>\n<p>The interim Energy Development and Transmission Committee on Thursday chose Kadrmas, Lee &amp; Jackson over the Louis Berger Group, which is based in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>The Bismarck engineering and planning company&#8217;s study estimate was $125,000, or about $1,400 more than the Louis Berger Group.<\/p>\n<p>The report is required as part by a bill passed in the last legislative session that requires study of &#8220;the likely changes to oil industry practices, production, impacts and tax policy in the foreseeable future of North Dakota.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BISMARCK, N.D.
