Jack Dalrymple will honor North Dakota\u2019s veterans and service members by attending a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, November 11, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Missouri River Events Center at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck. Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley will attend a flag raising ceremony for the North Dakota Medal of Honor Memorial at 4 p.m. at Roosevelt Park in Minot. The former memorial was damaged as a result of the 2011 flood and has since been restored. November 11 marks the official re-opening of the memorial.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Gov. Dalrymple is encouraging North Dakotans to observe Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, by honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans and those currently serving at home and abroad through ceremonies and patriotic activities, and by displaying the American and North Dakota flags.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&#8220;Throughout our history, generations of patriots have answered this nation\u2019s call to duty and have courageously defended our homeland and protected our way of life,&#8221; said Dalrymple. &#8220;Our veterans and servicemen and women represent the very best of our state and nation, serving with honor and distinction and selflessly making sacrifices in the name of freedom and democracy. On Veterans Day, we pay tribute to all who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces, honor the heroes we have lost and recognize those who are currently defending the ideals of our great nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>FARGO, N.D.<\/strong> \u2013 Senator John Hoeven\u2019s public schedule for Monday, Nov. 11, as well as the following statement in observance of Veterans Day:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Senator John Hoeven will participate in the annual Veterans Day ceremony held in Fargo. The ceremony is slated to begin at 11 a.m. and will be held at the Fargo Civic Center. We should, however, remember and honor them not only on Veterans Day, and not only when we are in a time of war, but throughout the days and years. We owe them an immense debt of gratitude for their brave sacrifices and the freedom we have today because of those sacrifices.
