Dvorak, President and CEO of the North Dakota Community Foundation delivered a grant from the North Dakota Community Foundation\u2019s State-wide Greatest Needs (Unrestricted) Fund to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) Foundation. NDCF Area Board Members are Steve Ottmar \u2013 Jamestown, Becky Thatcher-Keller \u2013 Jamestown, Diane Peyerl \u2013 Fural Penn, David \u201cWhite Thunder\u201d Trottier \u2013 Rugby. NDCF Development Director, Kara Geiger also participated in the presentation.<\/p>\n<p>The JRMC Foundation and Family BirthPlace accepted the grant for the Hugs\u00ae Infant Protection System in the amount of $1,500.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe North Dakota Community Foundation is pleased to partner with JRMC.\u201d said Mr. Dvorak. \u201cIt\u2019s great to see that JRMC is completed and has continued to enhance their equipment and technology, and we are glad to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The area grants were made from the North Dakota Community Foundation\u2019s State-Wide Great Needs Fund. Grants were awarded on a competitive basis. This year the Foundation received 149 grant requests of which the Board of Directors approved 49. The NDCF and its component funds will make over $3 million in grants all across North Dakota in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was amazed at the number of grant requests and the incredible projects and programs that are happening across our state. We are pleased that our NDCF grants will enhance the quality of life for North Dakota citizens\u201d said NDCF Board Member Diane Peyerl.<\/p>\n<p>The North Dakota Community Foundation was organized in 1976. The Foundation was formed as an efficient means of meeting the needs of North Dakota in the educational, charitable, arts, scientific and health areas. It is a public, non-profit tax-exempt corporation which receives and distributes charitable funds to support a wide range of programs which benefit North Dakotans. The Foundation administers charitable endowment and non-endowment funds in both the restricted and unrestricted categories on behalf of communities, businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals.
