\"City<\/a>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Planning Commission heard changes to accommodate possible construction of a Dakotah Bank, Jamestown Branch.<\/p>\n

The plat passed the preliminary and final hearings unanimously.<\/p>\n

Property lines of a portion of the “Platinum Commerce Addition,” were changed, west of Applebee\u2019s and east of Walmart, to accommodate possible construction.<\/p>\n

The Planning Commission also looked at a conceptual plan for the area between the Buffalo Mall and Jamestown Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Jamestown\/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) Coordinator, DeAnn Brunner says the plan is preliminary and is a tool for Southwest Jamestown development.<\/p>\n

    1. Chairman Hillerud called the meeting to order. Commission member Trautman made a motion to approve the minutes from the November 12, 2013 regular Planning Commission meeting. Seconded by Ritter. Unanimous aye vote. Motion Carried.<\/li>\n
    2. Public Hearing:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

      The preliminary plat of Platinum Commerce Second Addition, in the SE \u00bc of Section 2 \u2013 T139-R64W of the Fifth P.M., Stutsman County, City of Jamestown, North Dakota. A replat of Lots 2 & 3, Block 1, Platinum Commerce Addition.<\/p>\n

      Secretary Wollan gave the staff report and made recommendation to approve the plat.<\/p>\n

      Chairman Hillerud opened the public hearing. No one appeared. The public hearing was closed.<\/p>\n

      Commission members discussed the easements as shown on the preliminary plat, Secretary Wollan stated they have been approved by the Engineering department.<\/p>\n

      Commission member Trautman made a motion to approve the preliminary plat of Platinum Commerce Second Addition, in the SE \u00bc of Section 2 \u2013 T139-R64W of the Fifth P.M., Stutsman County, City of Jamestown, North Dakota. A replat of Lots 2 & 3, Block 1, Platinum Commerce Addition.<\/p>\n

      The motion was seconded by Bensch. Roll Coll. Unanimous aye vote. Motion Carried.<\/p>\n

            1. Discuss the SW Development Conceptual Plan.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

              DeAnn Brunner of the JSDC presented the commission with a report on the SW Development Conceptual Plan which was <\/i>created by SRF Consulting Group, Inc. in conjunction with the City of Jamestown and Stutsman County. The suggested zoning for this <\/a>area has already been adopted in the growth management plan.<\/p>\n

              Commission members discussed the overall plan and the location of the roads that access the <\/i>plan and the location of the existing <\/i>quarter line in relation to the roads and the existing property lines.<\/p>\n

              Bart Davis, property owner in the SW area, asked for clarification on the comments relating to quarter lines. Commission member Bensch explained the quarter line is a good place for a new street to be built<\/p>\n

              <\/i>because of multiple property ownership concerns. Mr. Davis expressed his concern relating to the SW Conceptual Plan and how the <\/i>drainage issues were being addressed. Mr. Davis stated that it was his understanding that the funding for a water drainage study had been nixed.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

              Chairman Hillerud asked why a drainage study was not performed as part of the planning process. Due to City Engineer Schwartzkopf\u2019s absence, he asked that City staff come to next month\u2019s planning <\/i>commission meeting with a report on the matter. <\/i><\/p>\n
