Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The American Association of University Women, Jamestown Branch, is sponsoring a District 12 candidate meet and greet, on Monday September 10, 2012 from 5-p.m. to 7-p.m., at Jamestown College, in the Nafus Student Center, Level 2.<\/p>\n
District 12 includes the city of Jamestown.<\/p>\n
On Friday\u2019s (Sept 7, 2012) Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, spokesperson, Joan Enderle said, candidates for the North Dakota District 12 Senate and House races have been invited to be on hand to meet voters and answer their questions.<\/p>\n
From 5-p.m., to 6-p.m., will be the meet and greet with the candidates, and then from 6-p.m., to 7-p.m., the candidates will briefly speak, followed by a question and answer session, with topics relating to women.<\/p>\n
She pointed out the AAUW\u2019s, “It\u2019s My Voice, I will Be Heard,” event is geared to get out the vote, and focuses on the Millennial Generation, those age 18-30.<\/p>\n
Individuals will also be on hand to answer any questions regarding voting in the state. All ages are welcome to attend the event.<\/p>\n
The meet and greet is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 10 in the Jamestown College, Nafus Student Center, Level 2.<\/p>\n
District 12 has three contested races on the November ballot.<\/p>\n
Democrat John Grabinger is facing Republican Bernie Satrom in the race for the District 12 Senate seat.<\/p>\n
Democrats Jessica Haak and incumbent Lyle Hanson are running for the House seats against Republicans Ken Hall and Alex Looysen.<\/p>\n
