Downtowner, Newsletter<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Three months can be a long time, but when planning and building a Holiday Parade float, it isn\u2019t much time at all.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Yes, folks, it is that time again to start working on your floats for the Annual Holiday Dazzle Parade.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">This year\u2019s parade will be on Friday night, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. Gathering point will again be McElroy Park and the route goes nort, 2012\u00a0 to 8<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;\">th <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Street and then over to First <\/span><\/span>Avenue and north to 3<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;\">rd <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Street North.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">An after parade party will again be at the Gladstone Inn, hosted by Shady\u2019s and the Main Street Downtown Association with Christmas songs and goodies.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Video of 2011 Dazzle Parade from The Replay Channel<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/81ML6LMlUls?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Trophies for the best floats will be awarded at that time for these categories:<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Best Dazzle<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Most Original<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Most Outstanding Amateur Built<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Most Outstanding Civic or Non-Profit Float.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Main Street Downtown Association will be having the Civic Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, 2012\u00a0at 5:30 p.m. with a short program.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Refreshments and treats will be served.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 From Main St Assoc.
