WASHINGTON, D.C.<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp\u00a0has \u00a0announced\u00a0seven students and recent graduates who will be interning in her Bismarck, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, and Washington D.C. offices.<\/p>\n
\u201cInterning gives students and recent graduates\u00a0the\u00a0opportunity to gain firsthand experience\u00a0into how a U.S. Senate office and Congress functions. They will work\u00a0alongside\u00a0my staff to learn\u00a0about the many ways we work to help North Dakotans,\u201d said Heitkamp.\u00a0\u201cThese interns will play\u00a0a critical role in\u00a0helping\u00a0my office\u00a0represent North Dakota effectively, and accomplish the things I was sent here to do. It\u2019s always a pleasure\u00a0having talented and enthusiastic young adults in my North Dakota and Washington, D.C. offices, and I hope they take full advantage of this opportunity to represent North Dakota.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Senator Heitkamp\u2019s office offers student internships in her\u00a0North Dakota\u00a0and Washington, D.C. offices during the summer, fall, and spring.<\/p>\n
Successful candidates will be those who demonstrate leadership, thoughtfulness, creativity, a strong attention to detail, and a sense of public service.\u00a0 Preference will be given to students who are from North Dakota.<\/p>\n
