(AP) \u2013 A judge has ordered a presentence investigation before accepting a plea agreement for a white supremacist accused of terrorizing fellow residents of his small North Dakota town by carrying out threatening armed patrols.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sixty-two-year old Craig Cobb of Leith agreed to plead guilty to five misdemeanor charges and one felony terrorizing charge on Thursday in a deal that would have spared him further jail time.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Judge David Reich told attorneys he did not feel comfortable accepting the plea deal until a thorough psychological and background investigation was done.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cobb has been in jail since Nov. 16. He is accused of using guns in mid-November to terrorize residents of Leith, the small community he unsuccessfully tried to turn into an all-white enclave<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2013 A white supremacist who has pleaded not guilty to terrorizing residents of a small North Dakota town is scheduled to change his plea.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Court documents indicate 62-year-old Craig Cobb is scheduled for a change-of-plea hearing Thursday afternoon.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A judge on Feb. 10 gave attorneys in the case three weeks to try to work out a plea agreement. Details of that agreement aren\u2019t immediately available.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cobb is accused of using guns in mid-November to terrorize residents of Leith, the small community he unsuccessfully tried to turn into an all-white enclave. He was scheduled for a mid-July trial on six counts that carry a maximum total punishment of 30 years in prison.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Leith residents have said they want Cobb to see prison time, and not be released on probation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier\/\/\/<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. He&#8217;s pleaded not guilty. A judge&#8217;s three-week window for attorneys to work out a plea deal runs out Monday. Cobb won&#8217;t comment on whether he&#8217;ll accept a plea agreement with prison time &#8211; which is what Mayor Ryan Schock says Leith residents want.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cobb says he fears violence from Greg Bruce, who operates an anti-hate Leith website.
