(AP) &#8211; North Dakota&#8217;s Supreme Court has refused a request to put a medical marijuana initiative on the November ballot.<br \/>\nIn a brief order Wednesday, the court said it won&#8217;t intervene in the dispute.<br \/>\nSecretary of State Al Jaeger wouldn&#8217;t put the proposal on the<br \/>\nballot because of what he said was evidence of petition fraud.<br \/>\nMedical marijuana supporters were asking the Supreme Court to override Jaeger.<\/p>\n<p>They say some petitions were valid, and Jaeger didn&#8217;t try to sort them out.<\/p>\n<p>The secretary of state says he&#8217;s pleased by the court&#8217;s decision.<\/p>\n<p>He says dozens of North Dakota counties are already having their ballots printed.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fargo state Rep. Steve Zaiser is chairman of the initiative campaign.<\/p>\n<p>He says he&#8217;s disappointed that &#8220;a lot of work went down the drain.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D.
