(AP) &#8211; Longtime Burleigh County Clerk of Court Deb Simenson during her career has sent jury duty summons to her husband and two sons.<\/p>\n<p>Now, she can add her own name to that list.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Simenson uses a computer program to randomly select names from<br \/>\nlists of voters and people with driver&#8217;s licenses.<\/p>\n<p>The program prints out summonses, and a machine puts them into an envelope.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Simenson says she got one of the envelopes in her personal mail on Aug. 25.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The clerk&#8217;s office also keeps files for court cases.<\/p>\n<p>Simenson says she went out of her way to not look at files in the case for<br \/>\nwhich she had called herself.<\/p>\n<p>She ended up not having to serve anyway &#8211; the case was settled without a trial.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BISMARCK, N.D.
