(AP) \u2013 The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says it\u2019s prohibiting open burning including campfires on the Oahe Wildlife Management Area along both sides of the Missouri River.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wildlife resource management supervisor Bill Haase says excessive dry conditions are making woodlands prone to wildfires.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Oahe is a heavily wooded recreation area that covers more<br \/>\nthan 16,000 acres along Lake Oahe in portions of Burleigh, Emmons<br \/>\nand Morton counties.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The restriction is in place until further notice. Signs are<br \/>\nposted at all entrances.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Haase says the department is encouraging people using public<br \/>\nlands along the river to be extremely cautious when conditions are<br \/>\ndry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BISMARCK, N.D.
