{"id":48023,"date":"2014-06-17T10:09:37","date_gmt":"2014-06-17T15:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=48023"},"modified":"2014-06-17T11:33:06","modified_gmt":"2014-06-17T16:33:06","slug":"outgoing-jps-board-members-recognized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=48023","title":{"rendered":"Outgoing JPS Board Members Recognized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/JPS-awards.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-48050\" alt=\"JPS awards\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/JPS-awards-300x202.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/JPS-awards-300x202.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/JPS-awards-259x175.jpg 259w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/JPS-awards.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> Jamestown (CSi) At the Jamestown Public School Board, Monday, outgoing School Board members Roy Musland, Tonya Ostlie and Shelly Jystad received certificates of excellence in appreciation by Nellie Degen of the Parents Awareness\/Prevention Center.<\/p>\n<p>She noted the school board members time, support and dedication to the Jamestown Public School District students and families during their School Board terms.<\/p>\n<p>Those school board members did not seek re-election at the June 10, 2014 elections.<\/p>\n<p>Elected to the school board were: Urban\/City members, Robert Toso, and Brenda Roemmich, and re-elected was Heidi Heim Larson.<\/p>\n<p>Elected to to the Rural Seats were Greg Allen (re-elected) and Mindy Schmitz.<\/p>\n<p>The school board also received information on the planned Two Rivers Activity Center, from Board of Directors member, Amy Walters.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed design for the center outlines twice as much land as the district allotted. Walters said the architectural firm will make changes to the design, or more adjacent land will have to be acquired from either the Jamestown Regional Medical Center or the district.<\/p>\n<p>The school board heard a report on a Daily Bread pilot program which provides meals during the summer months for at-risk students and families in need.<\/p>\n<p>Among the Jamestown locations, families can get meals from a freezer at Washington Elementary School,without completing forms or other paperwork.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was recorded and being shown on CSi 10 THE REPLAY CHANNEL.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi) At the Jamestown Public School Board, Monday, outgoing School Board members Roy Musland, Tonya Ostlie and Shelly Jystad received certificates of excellence in appreciation by Nellie Degen of the Parents Awareness\/Prevention Center.
