\"Mayor<\/a>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Council\u2019s Organizational session was held Tuesday afternoon at City Hall, following the Final Regular Session of the sitting City Council. All members were present.<\/p>\n

Nominations for President of the Council were taken. Ramone Gumke was nominated.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gumke was elected by the panel, to serve as President.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nominations for Vice-President of the Council were taken. Council Member Brubakken was nominated. Brubakken was elected to serve as Vice-President of the Council.<\/p>\n

Appointments approved\u00a0included:<\/p>\n

\u00a0The appointment of Kenneth Dalsted to serve as City Attorney and Assistant City Prosecutor for a two year term, expiring in June of 2016.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The appointment was approved of Leo Ryan to serve as City Prosecutor and Assistant City Attorney for a two year term to expire June 2016.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The appointment of Mary Jensen and Kara Helgeson to serve as Assistant City Prosecutors and Assistant City Attorneys for two year terms to expire June 2016 were approved.<\/p>\n

The appointment was approved of Ashley Lies to serve as an Assistant City Attorney for a two year term to expire June 2016.<\/p>\n

The appointment of Travis Peterson to serve as a Special City Prosecutor for a two year term to expire June 2016 was approved.<\/p>\n

The appointment of Katie Andersen to serve on the Jamestown\/Stutsman Development Corporation Board for a two year term to expire June 2016 was approved.<\/p>\n

The appointment of Council Member Buchanan to serve as a City Council representative on the County Zoning Board for a four year term to expire June 2018. \u00a0The appointment was approved.<\/p>\n

Mayor’s Committee Assignments included:<\/p>\n

Finance & Legal Committee and Personnel Committee\u2014Council Member Brubakken.<\/p>\n

Building, Planning & Zoning Committee\u2014Mayor Andersen<\/p>\n

Civic Center & Promotion Committee\u2014Council Member Buchanan<\/p>\n

Police & Fire Committee\u2014Council Member Kourajian<\/p>\n

Public Works Committee\u2014Council Member Gumke<\/p>\n
