{"id":48571,"date":"2014-06-24T16:24:34","date_gmt":"2014-06-24T21:24:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=48571"},"modified":"2014-06-24T16:24:34","modified_gmt":"2014-06-24T21:24:34","slug":"council-concludes-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=48571","title":{"rendered":"Council Concludes Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/cityhall448.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-972\" alt=\"cityhall448\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/cityhall448-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a>Jamestown (CSi) The present Jamestown City Council met in its Final Regular Session Tuesday afternoon at City Hall.\u00a0\u00a0 All members were present.<\/p>\n<p>\u3000<\/p>\n<p>Consent Agenda items discussed separately included:<\/p>\n<p>Item &#8220;A&#8221; was removed by Mayor Andersen who had questions about specifics of the lease agreement between the JSDC and the South Central Dakota Regional Council. The Council approved a Resolution to approve the lease agreement, contingent upon the City Attorney\u2019s review between the South Central Dakota Regional Council and the JSDC.<\/p>\n<p>Item &#8220;B&#8221; was removed by Council Member Buchanan, who raised questions concerning a Resolution to approve the recommendation from JSDC that UTC pay $241,790.00, which is half of the penalty required per the May 30, 2006, contract, to be paid by August 31, 2014, allowing payments to be made through December 31, 2014, and with the understanding that if not fulfilled by the end of the year it will go back to the full amount. Buchanan said UTC did not fulfill the original contract concerning the quantity of employees, agreed to. Mayor Andersen said both parties are amending the agreement with the Resolution. The Resolution was approved, with Council Member Buchanan opposed.<\/p>\n<p>Item &#8220;F&#8221; was removed by Mayor Andersen, who said logistics need to be worked out concerning a Resolution to accept the offer from Casey &amp; Shawntil Knecht to purchase Lot 5, Block 1, Homestead III Addition, in the amount of $10,000.00, subject to a conservation easement be placed on the property prior to transfer and confirmation that other adjacent property owners no longer having interest in acquiring portions of said property.The City Council voted to table.<\/p>\n<p>Regular Agenda:<\/p>\n<p>Resolutions:<\/p>\n<p>The City Council certified that the named officers were elected by a majority vote at the June 10, 2014, 2014 State Primary\/City Election:<\/p>\n<p>Term Expires Votes<\/p>\n<p>Mayor<\/p>\n<p>Katie Andersen June 2018 1372<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Council Member<\/p>\n<p>Ramone Gumke June 2018 1488<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Municipal Judge<\/p>\n<p>Timothy J.
