Being able

to grow up in two hometowns instilled organizational skills and

a love for travel which have both become crucial to her rodeo

career.

Krystal grew up with her two younger brothers, Jace and

Grant, and her paint horse Sweet Pea. In High School she was

active in 4-H, track, soccer, dance, and of course, anything that

could be done from horseback! Rodeo has always been

Krystal’s number one passion.

While growing up Krystal has prided herself in competing at local

rodeos in barrel racing, goat tying, pole bending, and her

personal favorite break away roping. Being a role model for her

two younger brothers and young ladies everywhere has always

been a priority to Krystal. Her motto continues to be:

“Everything we do, no matter the outcome, will make us a better well rounded individual.”

With this motto she has balanced the demands of school, sports, life, and her love for rodeo.

Krystal obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from South Dakota State University in May of 2011. Since then she has worked as a registered nurse at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Krystal enjoys helping people from all walks of life reach and

maintain their optimal health. Krystal’s education and training has been instrumental in shaping her into the type of professional young lady that is qualified to represent North Dakota and the great sport of rodeo.

Krystal is honored to grow up in a time and place where there are endless

possibilities for all of us. She would like to send a thank you to everyone who has touched her life and made it possible to pursue this cowgirl‘s American dream.

A special thanks to the North Dakota Winter Show and her current sponsors:

Christensen Trucking,

Five Star Bucking Bulls,

McMillan Farms,

Dakota Plains Cooperative,

Central Plains Ag Services,

Dakota Rodeo,

American Ag Network,

Dakota Hills,

Jannene Janssen,

Bloom N’ Crafts,

Dakota Rose Floral,

Bank Forward.

Krystal would also like to thank her family and friends for all of their support and encouragement throughout the years

Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V.
