Jamestown (CSi) The JFAA 50th Annual Art Show Winners have been announced.<\/p>\n

The Juror, Linda Whitney discussed each of her choices and mentioned that she was particularly moved by pieces that \u201chad a narrative quality\u201d.<\/p>\n

She noted that many mediums were under-represented and therefore could not give a prize in these categories.<\/p>\n

Because of this Whitney selected two honorable mention prizes that highlighted commendable pieces in glass and jewelry.<\/p>\n

Jamestown (CSi) The JFAA 50th annual art show,\u00a0Sept 13 – Oct 18, \u00a0<\/strong>at the Jamestown Arts Center, sponsored by Otter Tail Power Company<\/p>\n

This year is a great milestone for the Annual. It\u2019s particularly special as it\u2019s the JFAA Annual\u2019s 50th year. It is a grand feat for a small town art show to survive 50 years. While participation has ebbed and flowed over the years, it continues to be a favorite exhibition for the Jamestown community.<\/p>\n

To commemorate this milestone we have reached out to artists help us celebrate. We\u2019re hoping they participate in the exhibit but we have also asked them to create a small commemorative artwork that will be part of a special “ticketed” preview.<\/p>\n

The way it will work\u2026Everyone who has a ticket will have a chance to receive an artwork (There will be a limited number of mini-artworks available\u2013we won\u2019t know how many until the last minute.) All incoming, donated artwork will be numbered.<\/p>\n

Corresponding numbers will be put in a bin. Ticket stubs will also be placed in a bin and we will randomly draw one from each thus matching ticket holder to artwork.<\/p>\n

Another change this year is that all artwork in the exhibit is for sale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
