Valley City (CSi) \u00a0 A Public Input Meeting is is for Monday evening, at 5-p.m., at the Valley City Eagles, concerning the proposed\u00a0$16 million, 60,00 square foot \u00a0Health, Wellness and Physical Education Center \u00a0Wellness Center in Valley City.<\/p>\n
The meeting is geared to\u00a0steer direction and the project’s feasibility, with discussions led by the consulting firm.<\/p>\n
The proposed\u00a0facility would contain\u00a0three full sized basketball courts,\u00a0two aquatic center pools, locker rooms along with a walking track, weights and cardio equipment overlooking the gym.<\/p>\n
\u00a0An upcoming October meeting will address.annual maintenance cost figures.<\/p>\n
The Valley City Parks and Recreation Department and Valley City State University are advocating the concept of a community focused Wellness Center that would serve people of all ages.<\/p>\n
If passed at the\u00a0at a\u00a0November 4, 2014 Advisory vote the measurewould extend over\u00a0 30-years the \u00bd percent city sales tax\u00a0that’s prestly being used\u00a0to finance the construction of the Hi Liner Activity Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n
