But Gardenhire&#8217;s teams only got out of the first round once in those six trips.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gardenhire had one year left on his contract.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He was named American League manager of the year in 2010 and guided the Twins to six American League Central Division titles, including an ALCS appearance in 2002.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0General Manager Terry Ryan says Gardy has been offered another position in the organization, and its up to Gardy if he decides to accept the position or look elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Twins said they will begin immediately searching for a new manager, internally and externally.
