News Oct 15, 2012) \u2014 Dry conditions, coupled with controlled burns, made for another busy day of fire fighting for the Jamestown Rural Fire Department on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>At 3:20 p.m., the rural fire department was called to five miles southwest of Jamestown on Highway 46.<\/p>\n<p>Five trucks and 10 JRFD firefighters were dispatched, and farmers with a tractor and a disc helped.<\/p>\n<p>That fire burned a little more than 40 acres. The units were on the scene about 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the rural fire department was called to a tractor fire, north of Spiritwood, near Stutsman County Road 62 and 28th Street.<\/p>\n<p>A tractor and disc were damaged while digging a fire break.<\/p>\n<p>Three trucks and six firefighters were on the way to the call, as another call was received, to a burning slough, with a utility pole on fire.<\/p>\n<p>One truck and two rural firefighters were sent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update &#8230;.
