{"id":57130,"date":"2014-10-21T08:23:44","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T13:23:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=57130"},"modified":"2014-10-21T08:24:01","modified_gmt":"2014-10-21T13:24:01","slug":"park-board-approves-golf-irrigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=57130","title":{"rendered":"Park Board approves golf irrigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/hillcrestgolf.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-48039\" alt=\"hillcrestgolf\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/hillcrestgolf.gif\" width=\"144\" height=\"91\" \/><\/a>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Park Board has approved the Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course new irrigation pond and pumps with on a 4-1 vote on a change order.<\/p>\n<p>Park Board Chairman Mike Landscoot was opposed.<\/p>\n<p>The a new irrigation pond is between holes No. 10 and 17, with the cost a $486,303 bringing the project&#8217;s total cost to $1.55 million. The commision will pay for the project by selling bonds through state government.<\/p>\n<p>If work does not start this fall, it may be delayed a year as the best ground conditions for doing this type of work is in the fall.<\/p>\n<p>In other business, the commission scheduled a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. October 28, 2014, to consider what disciplinary action it may take in regard to longtime employee Marlyn Bertsch.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Landscoot says he was informed by Parks and recreation Director, Doug Hogan that two employees saw Bertsch allegedly fuel his personal vehicle from the department&#8217;s fuel depot.
