Group tours are welcome!<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/WCv_Z_DaYR0?rel=0&amp;amp;autoplay=1\" height=\"360\" width=\"480\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/center><br \/>\nFor more information, contact Wes Anderson, 701-845-0966<\/p>\n<p>Anderson explains more about Bob the Triceratops:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This specimen was excavated in 2003 on the Craig and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bob<\/span>bi Egeland Elk Ranch in Bowman County, North Dakota by Alan Komrosky and Hell Creek Relics.<\/p>\n<p>Bob is from the Cretaceous Period in the Hell Creek formation dated to sixty-five million years old. Bob&#8217;s skull measures seven feet, two inches from the back of the frill to the tip of the rostrum. It is by far the largest skull we have ever seen.<\/p>\n<p>We believe this would be the largest triceratops skeleton out there at twenty-six feet. We have twenty-one out of twenty-four of the largest bones of its body so by bone mass we are well over ninety percent complete.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bobtriceratops.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-48836\" alt=\"bobtriceratops\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bobtriceratops-300x253.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"253\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bobtriceratops-300x253.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bobtriceratops-206x175.jpg 206w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/bobtriceratops.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Because it is typical to be missing some of the smaller bones the bone count is still extraordinary at seventy percent. His left femur is four inches longer than the right which is unusual and gives him some definite character.<\/p>\n<p>The name \u2018Triceratops\u2019 comes from the Greek language, with \u2018tri\u2019 meaning three and \u2018keratops\u2019 meaning horned face.<\/p>\n<p>Triceratops lived in the late Cretaceous Period (around 65 million years ago).<\/p>\n<p>The Triceratops is one of the most easily recognizable dinosaurs due to its large body, unique frill and three horns.<\/p>\n<p>It needed its three horns to try and protect itself from the Tyrannosaurus Rex which lived during the same time period.<\/p>\n<p>It is believed that fully grown Triceratops were about 26ft long, 10ft high and weighed anywhere from 6 to 12 tons.<\/p>\n<p>The skull of a Triceratops alone could grow over 7ft in length.<\/p>\n<p>The Triceratops was a plant eating (herbivore) dinosaur.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City (CSi) The movie, &#8220;Night at the Museum,&#8221; features a 65 million year old Triceratops.
