Vice Chairman Trautman called the meeting to order. Commission Member Rath made a motion to approve the minutes from the December 8, 2014 Planning Commission meeting. Commission member Ritter seconded. Motion Carried.<\/p>\n
Public Hearing: Zone Change Request – WITHDRAWN<\/p>\n
Secretary Wollan read the options available to bring the buildings into conformity and allow for the approval of a building permit for an interior remodel as explained in an email from Stephanie Falkers, SRF Consulting Group, Inc. as follows:<\/p>\n
Option 1: Special Use Permit to allow buildings of essential services to be located within R2A district.<\/p>\n
Option 2: Pursue the Zone Change request to C-1 (Local Commercial District).<\/p>\n
Vice Chairman Trautman opened the public hearing.<\/p>\n
Casey Bradley, Stutsman County Auditor\/COO, explained that the County would like to do some remodeling to the existing County building to house the Extension facility offices and possibly other County offices in the future.<\/p>\n
Vice Chairman Trautman closed the public hearing.<\/p>\n
Commission member Frye made a motion to recommend the City Council grant a special use permit for Lots 133-138, Jones & Vennum Addition. Seconded by Commission member Rhinehart. Roll call. Unanimous aye vote. Motion carried.<\/p>\n
City Engineer Schwartzkopf gave a brief update on the Land Use & Transportation Plan as he had sent out an email previously with a new copy of the presentation attached that was used at the NDDOT Management Committee Meeting held on December 18, 2014.<\/p>\n
Commission member Ritter made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Rath. Meeting Adjourned.<\/p>\n
