{"id":63372,"date":"2015-02-18T07:00:26","date_gmt":"2015-02-18T13:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=63372"},"modified":"2015-02-18T09:17:33","modified_gmt":"2015-02-18T15:17:33","slug":"purse-exchange-supports-wounded-warriors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=63372","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Purses For A Purpose&#8221; raises $10 K locally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Purses for a Purpose fundraiser held on February 8, 2015, raised more than $10,000.<\/p>\n<p>The dollars will go toward training and placing service dogs with veterans in Jamestown who have post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.<\/p>\n<p>About 100 people who attended learned about the issues of the importance of service dogs to those with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Organizer, Karmel Wanzek adds that asimilar event earlier this month in Minot raised $18,000 for North Dakota veterans, so over $28,000 for paying it forward to veterans.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi) The 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Annual,<strong> &#8220;Purses for a Purpose,&#8221;<\/strong> will help raise vital funds for North Dakota Wounded Warriors, and benefiting North Dakota veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) helping to provide service dogs.<\/p>\n<p>Service Dogs for America spokesperson Shelley Nannenga on Thursday&#8217;s Wayne Byers Show on CSI Cable 2, said, the event is set for this Sunday <strong>February 8,<\/strong> 2015, from 4-p.m. to 7-p.m., at Sabir\u2019s II, (former\u00a0Buffalo City Rotisserie Grille) on First Avenue South in Jamestown.
