{"id":64214,"date":"2015-01-30T07:00:12","date_gmt":"2015-01-30T13:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=64214"},"modified":"2015-01-30T17:24:16","modified_gmt":"2015-01-30T23:24:16","slug":"awards-given-out-at-chambers-annual-banquet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=64214","title":{"rendered":"Awards given out at Chamber&#8217;s Annual Banquet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of awards at Thursday evening&#8217;s Annual Banquet, at the Jamestown Civic Center.<\/p>\n<p>The Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award was presented to Casey Stoudt.<\/p>\n<p>Tim Burchill nominated Stoudt for the award.<\/p>\n<p>It outlines Stoudt&#8217;s participation on the board and as a fundraiser for the University of Jamestown, serving as treasurer for Jamestown Dollars for Scholars, serving on the board and as a fundraiser for the Jamestown Community Foundation and supporting the Jamestown Arts Center. He is also noted for originating an idea for Running of the Pink, which R.M. Stoudt still funds.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the Young Professional of the Year was Samantha Beckman in marketing \u00a0with Jamestown Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the Business of the Year was Lifestyle Appliance\u00a0 and Entertainment Center.<\/p>\n<p>The Above and Beyond Award for volunteerism was given to Joan Morris.<\/p>\n<p>Morris is\u00a0 active in the Daily Bread, \u00a0Jamestown program.<\/p>\n<p>She\u00a0\u00a0was a leader \u00a0in\u00a0the drive to raise funds and create a fast-pitch softball diamond in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Morris\u00a0is also on the FACE committee the Foundation for the Advancement of Christian Education, with St. John&#8217;s Academy in Jamestown, along with promoting recycling in Jamestown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of awards at Thursday evening&#8217;s Annual Banquet, at the Jamestown Civic Center.
