Joyce Kleingartner, 79, Gackle, ND died Wednesday January 28, 2015 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center at Jamestown, ND.<\/p>\n
Joyce Spilloway was born August 24, 1935 at the family farm home SW of Gackle, ND, the daughter of John and Leontine (Geiszler) Spilloway. She attended school at Gackle and graduated from Gackle High School in 1953. She attended Valley City Teachers College and taught in rural schools for 3 years.<\/p>\n
She and Albin Kleingartner were married June 5, 1955 in Gackle, ND. They made their home on the Kleingartner Farm for 10 years, and then moved into Gackle and bought the J.S. Spilloway Farm in 1975 and lived there until 1994 when they moved back to Gackle for their retirement and have resided there since.<\/p>\n
She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran church in Gackle. She was a church council secretary and taught Sunday school and Bible school. She also was a member of the Gackle Progress Homemaker\u2019s Club for 40 years and a charter member of the District 28 Republican Women\u2019s Club.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her husband, Albin, Gackle, ND;1 daughter, Laurie (Darcy) Pfaff, Jamestown, ND; 1 son, Ross (Sue) Kleingartner, Gackle, ND; 4 grandchildren, John Pfaff, Jacie Pfaff, Lane Kleingartner, Sydney Kleingartner; 1 brother, Allen (Folly) Spilloway, Centrailia, WA; 4 sisters, Wanda Speidel, Carson City, NV; Janice (Jim) Labesky, Frederick, SD; Carol (Ron) Madsen, Watertown, SD and Joan (Doug) Ver Douw, Bismarck, ND.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother.<\/p>\n
Funeral Service \u2013 10:30 AM Monday February 2, 2015 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND with Pastor Rick Steele, officiating<\/p>\n
Interment \u2013 Gackle Cemetery, Gackle, ND<\/p>\n
