\"EllingsonLee1\"<\/a>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 The Stutsman County State’s Attorney’s Office says that 43 year old Lee Charles Ellingson<\/strong> was charged Wednesday with four counts. \u00a0Ellingson, (Tracy, Minnesota) eluded law enforcement and was taken into custody following an early morning\u00a0pursuit in SW Jamestown Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Ellingson was treated for his injuries at Jamestown Regional medical Center and has been released.<\/p>\n

The release from State’s Attorney Fritz Fremgen:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One count of Reckless Endangerment, a Class C Felony. \u00a0One count of Criminal Mischief a Class C Felony<\/p>\n

One count\u00a0of DUI, a Class C Felony and, Fleeing or attempting to elude, a Class A misdeameanor<\/p>\n

Bail has been recommended, and Fremgen anticipates Ellingson’s initial court appearance and bail hearing to be held on Thursday, in Southeast District court.<\/p>\n

Fremgen says, considering the nature of the allegations and the defendent’s ties to the community, he plans to request a cash bond sufficient to ensure the defendant’s appearance at all court proceedings.<\/p>\n

A preliminary hearing date has not been scheduled.<\/p>\n

Ellingson was treated for his injuries at Jamestown Regional medical Center, and then life-flighted to a Fargo hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries.<\/p>\n

\"shooting31715b\"<\/a>Jamestown (CSi) Local law enforcement early Tuesday were involved with a high speed pursuit, that led to a man ramming patrol cars and the shooting of the suspect.<\/p>\n

Just after midnight this morning, the Jamestown Police Department was alerted by a convenience store employee of a suspected intoxicated individual leaving the store.<\/p>\n

The officer attempted to approach the subject, who then entered his vehicle, and left at a high rate of speed with the officer pursuing.<\/p>\n

The subject headed south on Highway 281 with other officers joining in the pursuit. The suspect then rammed two patrol vehicles with his vehicle.<\/p>\n

The suspect stopped his vehicle numerous times and allowed officers to approach, and then would flee, eventually stopping in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue Southwest. (area pictured above)<\/p>\n

The officer approaching avoided being run over by the suspect\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>\n

Jamestown Police officers, and a Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s deputy, discharged their weapons, striking the suspect.<\/p>\n

The suspect the lone occupant of the vehicle, a 43 year old male from Tracy, Minnesota was transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.<\/p>\n

\"shooting31715a\"<\/a>He was arrested for Felony DUI, Fleeing or attempting to elude in a motor vehicle, Reckless endangerment and Criminal Mischief.<\/p>\n

During the pursuit, witnesses saw the vehicle “spinning donuts” while attempting to elude the police. (area pictured to the right).<\/p>\n

Law Enforcement officials that were involved are now on administrative leave and the investigation of the incident has been turned over to the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.<\/p>\n
