{"id":704,"date":"2012-07-17T23:38:08","date_gmt":"2012-07-18T04:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=704"},"modified":"2012-07-19T17:12:44","modified_gmt":"2012-07-19T22:12:44","slug":"casey-helmstetler-july-17-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=704","title":{"rendered":"Casey Helmstetler &#8211; July 17, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/helmsteteler.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-865\" title=\"obithelmsteteler\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/helmsteteler-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Casey Helmstetler, 53, of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at her home under hospice care.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Casey Poseley was born on July 26, 1958, in Fargo, ND the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Sheppard) Poseley.\u00a0 She grew up in Fargo and Tower City areas, graduating from Tower City High School.\u00a0 Casey married Greg Helmstetler on December 17, 1977 at St. James Basilica and made their home in Jamestown.\u00a0 She attended Jamestown College on a music scholarship and graduated from Valley City State University with a degree in teaching.\u00a0 Casey taught at St. John\u2019s Academy and at the Jamestown Public Schools in elementary and middle school education, focusing her efforts on reading.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Casey was active in Jazzercise and gave piano lessons from her home.\u00a0 She enjoyed knitting, baking and cooking, tending to flower gardens, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.\u00a0 Casey found her greatest joys in helping students find success and building confidence in themselves.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Casey is survived by her husband, Greg Helmstetler, Jamestown; son, Chad (Sheena) Helmstetler, Grand Forks, ND; and daughter, Anna Helmstetler, Jamestown. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jude Poseley and Julie Poseley.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong><br \/>\nEucharist of Christian Burial<\/strong>: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown with Father Al Bitz officiating.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Family will receive guests: <\/strong>6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Interment:<\/strong> Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Casey Helmstetler, 53, of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at her home under hospice care.
