(AP) &#8211; The North Dakota Legislature has finally passed a budget bill left unresolved by lawmakers when they adjourned in April.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The House voted 73-16 and the Senate voted 38-6 on Tuesday to pass a more than $14 million appropriations bill for the state&#8217;s public employee retirement system.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The session ended in April with House and Senate Republicans still at odds over the legislation aimed at ensuring that thousands of public employees, including lawmakers, can keep the same health benefits and medical providers when their insurer changes next month.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A panel of legislative leaders resolved the dispute last week, agreeing to add one lawmaker from each party to a board that oversees the benefits.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Legislature endorsed that change Tuesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D.
