Degen was the only candidate to do that and officially her application was the only one that could be considered by the board,<\/p>\n<p>Degen, said that she was interested in giving back to the community and would be proactive and resourceful with grant writing and fundraising to maintain and update the Frontier Village<\/p>\n<p>Degen said the Frontier Village is important to Jamestown with people coming from all over the U.S. to visit.<\/p>\n<p>A Frontier Village report from Tina Busche indicated that there were 134,000 visitors to Frontier Village in 2012 and 135,000 in 2014. She said the sign-in sheet to the Louis L&#8217;Amour building alone totaled 2,035 people from May 23 through June 26 this year.<\/p>\n<p>She noted, the Village had visitors from several countries and several states, with only Delaware, Mississippi and New Mexico as the only states not to visit<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Frontier Village Association Board of Directors has elected Nellie Degen as a new board member with one decenting vote, from board member Ann Hess.
