{"id":7873,"date":"2012-11-26T16:25:12","date_gmt":"2012-11-26T22:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=7873"},"modified":"2012-11-26T16:25:12","modified_gmt":"2012-11-26T22:25:12","slug":"darrel-wayne-fairfield-nov-24-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=7873","title":{"rendered":"Darrel Wayne Fairfield &#8211; Nov 24, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;\">Darrel Wayne Fairfield, Jr., 72, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;\">Darrel \u201cDarry\u201d was born June 27, 1940, the son of Darrel, Sr. \u201cJake\u201d and Lorraine (Kennison) Fairfield at Jamestown Hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;\">He was baptized and confirmed in St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church.\u00a0 He grew up in Eldridge, ND and completed his elementary education at Eldridge School.\u00a0 Darry graduated from Jamestown High School in 1958, as an honor student.\u00a0 He attended NDSU before becoming a mason\u2019s apprentice at Moline Construction.\u00a0 Darry then partnered with Robert Kennison in a masonry business and became a master mason.\u00a0 He was known for his artistry and built many beautiful fireplaces that still grace some of Jamestown\u2019s finest homes.\u00a0 Darry also farmed with his uncle Leonard Fairfield in Eldridge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;\">Darry loved fishing and hunting.\u00a0 He enjoyed old movies and music from the 50\u2019s.\u00a0 He had an encyclopedic memory of music, movies, singers, and actors.\u00a0 He loved to play the piano.\u00a0 Darry had a wonderful sense of humor and always had endless jokes to tell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;\">He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Fairfield, Eldridge; three sons, Charles, Coeur D\u2019Alene, ID, Wade, Bloomington, MN, John, Eldridge; one daughter, Jacqueline (Lowell) Baker, Jamestown; two sisters, Marilyn Entzminger, Gackle, ND and Patricia Fairfield, Jamestown; one grandson, Jacob Baker; and special friend, Rita Pederson, Jamestown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong><br \/>\nFuneral Service:<\/strong> 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012 at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Visitation:<\/strong> 9:00 a.m.to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Prayer Service:<\/strong> 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Burial:<\/strong> Eldridge Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Darrel Wayne Fairfield, Jr., 72, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012.
