(AP) \u2013 North Dakota\u2019s Public Service Commission has approved ownership transfer of a proposed 200-megawatt wind farm in the southeastern part of the state.<\/p>\n<p>The three-member panel on Monday gave Minneapolis-based Xcel Energy permission to purchase the proposed $300 million North Dakota wind project from Geronimo Energy, which is based in Edina, Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>Regulatory filings say Geronimo Energy had problems securing financing for <strong>the Courtenay Wind Farm near Jamestown.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Xcel earlier agreed to buy all power produced from the 100-turbine wind farm that has the capacity to power up to 105,000 homes.<\/p>\n<p>Xcel spokesman Dave Sederquist says the project should be completed next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BISMARCK, N.D.
