{"id":8202,"date":"2012-12-03T14:29:04","date_gmt":"2012-12-03T20:29:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=8202"},"modified":"2012-12-03T14:29:04","modified_gmt":"2012-12-03T20:29:04","slug":"ronald-george-porky-ganser-dec-2-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=8202","title":{"rendered":"Ronald George \u201cPorky\u201d Ganser, Dec 2, 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Ronald George \u201cPorky\u201d Ganser, 72, of Cleveland, ND, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Ronald was born on May 4, 1940, in Jamestown, ND, the son of Edward George and Rose Margaret (Prodzinski) Ganser.\u00a0 He grew up on the family farm and attended Cleveland High School.\u00a0 Porky entered into the US Army on December 2, 1958 and was discharged on September 2, 1960.\u00a0 He returned to the family farm north of Cleveland.\u00a0 Porky married Betty Bosche on October 28, 1966.\u00a0 He later married Marietta Schaffer on September 12, 1981 and they lived and farmed on the family farmstead.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Porky was a founding member of the Windsor Horse Club.\u00a0 He loved his farm, cows, and horses and enjoyed hunting and fishing.\u00a0 Porky was always ready to help a friend or family member need.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Porky is survived by his wife, Marietta Ganser, Cleveland; step-daughter, Michele (Kenny) McCoy, Mott, ND; step-grandson, Jake McCoy, Bismarck, ND; step-children, Rob Bridgewater, Jr., NM, Renee (Michael) Edwards, Council Hill, OK and Michelle Madewell, Council Hill, OK; sisters, Rita Jawaski, Dickey, ND, Rosalie Andres, Medina, ND, Carol Mack, Medina, and Edith Stoppleworth, Medina; brother, Vernon (Getty) Ganser, Broadus, MT; aunts, Bernice Fousek, Jamestown, and Mable Prodzinski, Seattle, WA; and many step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">He was preceded in death by his parents.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong><br \/>\nEucharist of Christian Burial:<\/strong> 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Visitation:<\/strong> 9:00 a.m.to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Vigil:<\/strong> 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><strong>Burial:<\/strong> St. Pauline\u2019s Cemetery, Windsor, ND, at a later date.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ronald George \u201cPorky\u201d Ganser, 72, of Cleveland, ND, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. &nbsp;
