The focus of LSVT is simple: SPEAK LOUD! This one focus improves an individual\u2019s overall intelligibility by improving respiratory, laryngeal, and articulatory functioning. LSVT does not train an individual to shout or yell, but to speak with healthy vocal loudness.<\/p>\n<p>LSVT treatment is administered in 16 sessions in a signal month: 4 consecutive sessions, 4 times per week, 60 minutes each session, along with daily homework tasks. This high intensity mode of treatment is integral for optimal results and promotes motor learning, skill acquisition, and neural plasticity (the capacity of the nervous system to change).
