\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Authorities said earlier that at least\u00a013 people were dead. More than 20 other people were injured.<\/p>\n

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown says the gunman in a deadly mass shooting at a community college was a 20-year-old man.

\u00a0Officers responded and found the gunman on campus. They exchanged gunfire with the man, and he died in or near a classroom.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The gunman entered her classroom and told people to get on the ground.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Moore says the man started asking people to stand up and state their religion and then opened fire.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The shooting left 13 people dead and at least 20 injured.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin says authorities responded and exchanged gunfire with the man. He says the shooter died at the scene, but he didn’t say whether the man killed himself or was shot by police.<\/p>\n

ROSEBURG, Oregon (AP) –\u00a0\u00a0Authorities are reporting multiple casualties in a shooting at a community college in southwestern Oregon.<\/p>\n

In a tweet Thursday, the local fire district advised people to stay away from Umpqua Community College in Roseburg. The city is about 180 miles south of Portland.<\/p>\n

The fire district later reported there were multiple casualties but released no further details.<\/p>\n

Umpqua Community College has about 3,000 students. Its website was down Thursday, and a phone message left at the school wasn’t immediately returned.<\/p>\n
