(AP) &#8211; Bond has been set at $250,000 cash for a man who barricaded himself for 15 hours inside a Bismarck home and allegedly fired shots at police.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-six-year-old Brandon Lyon could face up to 35 years in prison if convicted of attempted murder of a law officer, terrorizing and weapons counts.<\/p>\n<p>Lyon made his initial court appearance on Thursday, during which prosecutor Julie Lawyer said Lyon has an extensive criminal history in both North Dakota and South Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>Lyon did not comment on the bond. He requested a court-appointed attorney<\/p>\n<p>The standoff began Monday night, when police say Lyon threatened a man and woman in the home. He was arrested Tuesday after police used tear gas. Authorities say that at one point during the standoff, Lyon fired a gun at officers.<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) &#8211; Law enforcement authorities have arrested Brandon Lyon, \u00a036, following a 15-hour standoff at a home in Bismarck.<\/p>\n<p>Bismarck Police Officer Pat Renz says the man surrendered to police after officers fired six rounds of tear gas shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The man was able to walk out of the house on his own.<\/p>\n<p>The incident began about 9 p.m. Monday when the man threatened to kill another man in the home. The second man and a woman fled and contacted police.<\/p>\n<p>Police fired tear gas a number of times Tuesday morning. At one point, police heard shots fired and officers did not return fire.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbors in the area were evacuated shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>The man hasn&#8217;t been publicly identified.
