(AP) &#8211; The driver of a pickup truck that rolled over in January killing a passenger has been sentenced to one year in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Weller, of Dazey, will begin serving his sentence on Dec. 1. Weller earlier pleaded guilty to one count of negligent homicide.<\/p>\n<p>Weller was driving the pickup on Highway 26 when it went into a ditch, vaulted off an intersecting county road, rolled, and came to rest upside down. The 33-year-old Brent Siverson, of Casselton, was thrown from the pickup and died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The North Dakota Highway Patrol has said alcohol was a factor in the crash and neither man was wearing a seatbelt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>VALLEY CITY, N.D.
