(AP) \u2013 A mental evaluation has been ordered for a Minot man accused of stealing an ambulance and crashing it near Carrington.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-one-year-old Timothy Blowers is facing three felonies for allegedly stealing an ambulance from Trinity Hospital and fleeing police on Highway 52. Blowers eventually crashed into a northbound SUV after state troopers laid down spikes.<\/p>\n<p>At a hearing last week, interim state\u2019s attorney Ashley Lies requested an evaluation to determine whether Blowers is fit to stand trial.<\/p>\n<p>No plea was entered at the hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Previously&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 About 2:20-p.m., On Friday the North Dakota Highway Patrol reports, \u00a0Timothy Blowers, was involved in a pursuit fleeing from Law Enforcement on Hwy 52 while driving in a stolen ambulance, reaching a speed of 91 MPH. Blowers had stolen the ambulance earlier in the day from the Trinity Medical Center in Minot. Blowers was traveling south on Hwy 52, 2 miles south of Carrington, and evaded Law Enforcement by driving into the northbound lanes. Blowers then drove the ambulance into the east ditch, striking a SUV driven by Cole Zaderaka.<\/p>\n<p>Zaderaka was traveling north on Hwy 52 and had pulled his vehicle off onto the side of the road due to the emergency lights he observed on the roadway. Zaderaka then moved his vehicle into the east ditch to avoid the ambulance that was traveling toward him on the roadway. After Zaderaka&#8217;s vehicle was in the east ditch it was struck by the ambulance on the driver side, causing the SUV to rollover. The ambulance vaulted and came to rest on its roof.<\/p>\n<p>Zaderaka was transported to Trinity Medical Center for serious but non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Blowers was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center and is in custody.<\/p>\n<p>Blowers faces many criminal charges including Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen property, Reckless Endangerment, Aggravated Reckless driving, and Fleeing.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The incident remains under investigation. Criminal charges are pending an investigation by the Foster County Sheriff\u2019s Department and Minot Police Department.
