(AP) &#8211; The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is accepting public comments on an environmental study for a water pipeline project in Cooperstown.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The plan calls for five miles of 9-inch PVC pipe to be placed from the Cooperstown wells to the city&#8217;s water treatment plant. The federal government is paying for $2.2 million of $2.9 million project.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The pipeline is part of the corps&#8217; environmental infrastructure program.
