\"pumpinggasTHUMB\"<\/a>(CSi)\u00a0 December 7, 2015\u00a0 Average retail gasoline prices in North Dakota have not moved\u00a0 in the past week, averaging $2.06\/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 493 gas outlets in North Dakota. This compares with the national average that has not moved\u00a0 in the last week to $2.03\/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.<\/p>\n

Areas nearby North Dakota and their current gas price climate:
\n\u00a0Sioux Falls- $1.83\/g, down 2.2 cents per gallon from last week’s $1.85\/g.
\n\u00a0Fargo- $1.88\/g, down 1 cent per gallon from last week’s $1.89\/g.
\n\u00a0South Dakota- $2.03\/g, down 2.2 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.05\/g.<\/p>\n

Including the change in gas prices in North Dakota during the past week, prices yesterday were 64.6 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 24.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 18.5 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 63.2 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.<\/p>\n

“The next 24 hours will likely see the national average drop to a new six-plus year low. The U.S. average needs to fall just seven-tenths of a penny from its current $2.032 per gallon (to $2.025\/gal.) to be the lowest since March 25, 2009,” said Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst. “As for the outcome of OPEC’s meeting late last week: OPEC is going to wait for production to resume from Iran before looking at oil production quotas again next year. While we wait and see what that next meeting might bring, high oil production will likely continue to boost already record high oil inventories, keeping gasoline prices somewhat subdued. The national average has once again resumed falling after Turkey’s downing of a Russian fighter jet caused a brief hiatus, but with prices moving lower, a $1.99 national average gasoline price could be something we witness this week,” he added.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Wall Street was lower at the open on Monday as Brent crude prices fell to their lowest in nearly seven years after OPEC’s meeting ended last week without a reference to its output ceiling.<\/div>\n

Oil majors Exxon and Chevron fell about 3 percent and were the biggest drags on the Dow and the S&P.<\/p>\n

A fall in oil prices erased earlier advances in stock futures that looked to build on Friday’s gains after a strong jobs report last week.<\/p>\n

The solid November employment report showed that the economy was strong enough to absorb an interest rate hike, which is widely expected to be raised when the Federal Reserve meets on Dec. 15-16.<\/p>\n
