(AP) &#8211; North Dakota Supreme Court Justice Dale Sandstrom says he will not seek re-election next year.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sandstrom made the announcement on Tuesday. He will have served 24 years in the state&#8217;s highest court when his term ends in December 2016.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sandstrom took office in 1992. He was re-elected to 10-year terms in 1996 and 2006.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He served on the North Dakota Public Service Commission before he was elected to the state Supreme Court.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sandstrom says that after he leaves office, he plans to write books on state history and be more involved in volunteer activities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0BISMARCK, N.D.
