Narum has been elected to a three-year term as presiding judge of the Southeast Judicial District.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding judges are elected by majority vote of the judges of each district.<\/p>\n<p>Narum will continue his work as a trial court judge. As presiding judge he will have additional administrative and management duties in the district.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Southeast Judicial District includes Stutsman, Barnes, Richland, Dickey, LaMoure, Ransom, Sargent, Logan, McIntosh, Eddy, Wells, Foster, Griggs and Kidder counties.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Narum was appointed by then Gov. John Hoeven, R-N.D., in 2006, elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Narum served in the U.S. Navy and is a graduate of North Dakota State University and the University of North Dakota School of Law.<\/p>\n<p>Narum is a Rutland, N.D., native and fourth-generation North Dakotan.
