All members were present.<br \/>\nA committee consisting of Mayor Andersen, City Administrator Fuchs, Seputy Auditor Sveum, and Council Member Brubakken interviewed four of the seven applicants who applied from a job search.<br \/>\nThe city hired Sheri Steckler, a Jamestown native who majored in horticulture and was most recently employed \u00a0at Greenhouse and Beyond in Fargo. \u00a0Steckler has a Bachelor in Science Degree in Horticulture.<br \/>\nCity Administrator Fuchs says Steckler intends to be a \u201chands on\u201d City Forester.<\/p>\n<p>The City Council unanimously approved her hire, at Range 38, Step 8 on the pay scale, at a salary of $4,009 per month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Council met in Special Session Wednesday afternoon at City Hall, to discuss the vacant City Forester position.
