News Mar 2, 2012)&#8211; 19 participants Saturday took the cold plunge into an icy tub, to support North Dakota Special Olympics. The air temperature was around 45 coupled with wind gusts created the icy cold water conditions, outside the Larson Center at Jamestown College.<br \/>\nPolar Plunge, organizer, Ben Kennelly says, about $1,900 was raised as some plungers exceeded the $75 minimum for an average of about $100 per plunger.,<br \/>\nThe official total of dollars collected from fundraising, food sales, donations and T-shirt sales will be released later this week.<br \/>\nSpecial Olympics is dedicated to helping people with intellectual disabilities become physically fit and productive members of society through sports competition.<br \/>\nThe event was recorded by KCSi-T.V. 10 THE REPLAY CHANNEL&#8230;with showing dates to be announced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update&#8230;The North Dakota Special Olympics Polar Plunge raised $5,790.77. 20 -plungers raised the money through donations.
