Authorities initially said Kenzley was abducted from her house in the small town of Poplar on Tuesday morning, but FBI spokeswoman Sandra Yi Barker could not confirm if that was still believed to be the case.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/OlsonKenzle.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-99195\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-99195\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/OlsonKenzle-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"OlsonKenzle\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>READ MORE<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatfallstribune.com\/story\/news\/2016\/04\/20\/amber-alert-issued-poplar-girl\/83269110\/\">1-year-old found dead; suspect in custody<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An Amber Alert for the girl went out early Wednesday, and her body was found that afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators also were looking to question additional people in Kenzley\u2019s death, Roosevelt County spokesman Lee Allmer said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat they\u2019re trying to accomplish with the investigation is to see if anybody else was involved. It is a general search,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The woman was taken into custody Wednesday evening and scheduled to appear Friday for a probable cause hearing before a tribal judge, court officials said. Federal charges also were anticipated, Barker said.<\/p>\n<p>The Fort Peck Reservation is home to the Assiniboine and Sioux tribes and has a population of about 10,000.<\/p>\n<p>Kenzley\u2019s death followed the February abduction of a 4-year-old girl from a public park in a reservation town about 20 miles west of Poplar. The girl was found alive several days later, and authorities said her abductor had tried to kill her.<\/p>\n<p>A 20-year-old man was charged in that case with kidnapping, attempted murder and aggravated sexual assault of a minor. (AP) 2:35 p.m. Wed &#8211; The Latest on the search for a missing 1-year-old girl (all times local):<\/p>\n<p>According to the Great Falls Tribune: \u00a0\u00a0<em>A 26-hour manhunt for a 1-year-old Poplar girl ended tragically Wednesday when her body was found several blocks from her house, according to the Roosevelt County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A suspect is in custody and authorities declined to release further information, according to the office\u2019s Facebook page, which has been issuing updates on the case since Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Lee Allmer, a county spokesman, said a cause of death has not yet been determined. He said the FBI is leading the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Kenzley Ava-Lee Olson, 1, was reported to have been missing at about 12:30 p.m. from her home on the 400 block of E Street East.<\/p>\n<p>Montana authorities say a 1-year-old girl who they believe was abducted has been found dead in Poplar.<\/p>\n<p>The Roosevelt County Sheriff&#8217;s Office said in a statement posted on its Facebook page Wednesday that a person is in custody. The statement did not have any further details.<\/p>\n<p>County spokesman Lee Allmer says a cause of death has not yet been determined. He says the FBI is leading the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Kenzley Olson was last seen Tuesday morning, and an Amber Alert was issued early Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Officials had originally sought two North Dakota residents they believed responsible for her kidnapping, but later determined they were not involved.<\/p>\n<p>The Billings Gazette reports, the woman, 51 year old Melinda Tweet,\u00a0and her son, 25 year old Tyler Moulton,\u00a0 were arrested on firearm and drug charges after police made contact with her in regard to the case about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Tweet and her son were acquaintances of the abducted child&#8217;s mother.<\/p>\n<p>Tweet was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine,two counts of drug paraphernalia possession and ingestion of meth.
