This compares with the national average that has increased 2.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.14\/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.<\/p>\n<p>Including the change in gas prices in North Dakota during the past week, prices yesterday were 36.2 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 5.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 10.7 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 38.8 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.<\/p>\n<p>According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on April 25 in North Dakota have ranged widely over the last five years:<br \/>\n$2.39\/g in 2015, $3.57\/g in 2014, $3.59\/g in 2013, $3.79\/g in 2012 and $3.82\/g in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Areas nearby North Dakota and their current gas price climate:<br \/>\n\u00a0Sioux Falls- $2.01\/g, down 4.0 cents per gallon from last week&#8217;s $2.05\/g.<br \/>\n\u00a0Fargo- $1.89\/g, up 0.9 cents per gallon from last week&#8217;s $1.89\/g.<br \/>\n\u00a0South Dakota- $2.09\/g, up 2.4 cents per gallon from last week&#8217;s $2.06\/g.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe oil markets this past week shrugged off OPEC\u2019s inability to reach an agreement for production freezes at the highly-touted meeting in Doha, Qatar.\u00a0 West Texas Intermediate crude futures responded to a brighter demand picture that perked prices up to $43.73 per barrel for Friday\u2019s close.\u00a0 Leading the demand surge has been gasoline, where the Energy Information Administration (EIA) shows year-to-date demand to be up 3.4% from last year and up 7.4% from 2014 according to their \u2018product supplied\u2019 demand indicator,\u201d said Will Speer, a Houston-based senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnsurprisingly, this has impacted retail gasoline prices, causing 43 of the 50 states to raise prices from a week ago.\u00a0 Low prices have ignited the early demand surge this year, and the surge is expected to continue into the summer, where demand hits its peak for the year,\u201d Speer added.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nFor LIVE fuel price averages, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/media.gasbuddy.com\/\">http:\/\/media.gasbuddy.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>About GasBuddy.com<\/p>\n<p>GasBuddy is the premiere source for real-time local gas prices.
