BISMARCK, N.D. (AP Jun 7, 2013) — Memorial services have been set in Bismarck and Fargo for former North Dakota first lady Jean Guy.

 Jean Guy died Friday. She was 90.

 Jean Guy was the wife of Gov. William Guy, who was North Dakota’s longest-serving governor from 1961 to 1973. He died in April from complications of Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 93.

 Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Jun 10, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Bismarck and Thursday at 1:30 p.m at First Presbyterian Church in Fargo.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Jack Dalrymple and First Lady Betsy Dalrymple offered the following statement regarding the death of Jean Guy, who was North Dakota’s First Lady from 1961-1973. Guy passed away Friday, July 5.

“Betsy and I were saddened by the news of Jean Guy’s passing,” Gov. Dalrymple said. “She was a great asset to the state of North Dakota and was an invaluable partner to Bill Guy in his 12 years as North Dakota’s governor. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Guy family.”

Bill and Jean Guy farmed in Amenia, near Casselton, N.D. They had five children. Bill Guy was our state’s longest-serving governor from 1961-1973. He passed away on April 26, 2013, at the age of 93.

 Jean Guy was 90,  and passed away due to  complications of  Alzheimer’s.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota governor’s office says former First Lady Jean Guy has died at the age of 90.
 
     Jean Guy was the wife of Gov. William Guy, who was North Dakota’s longest serving governor. He died April 26 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 93.
 
     The Forum reports that Jean Guy’s death comes two weeks after she suffered a stroke.
 
     Gov. Jack Dalrymple says Jean Guy was a great asset to the state of North Dakota and was an invaluable partner to her husband in his 12 years as North Dakota’s governor from 1961 to 1973.
 
     William and Jean Guy farmed in Amenia, near Casselton, N.D., and had five children.
